R J Prior Trawler Yacht Conversion - Details

Keel laid in July 1970 and launched in 1972 by R J Prior & Son (Burnham) Ltd. Built from Iroko on Oak frames and Converted to a trawler yacht in the early 1990's a major refurbishment is nearing completion by the current owner.

She cruises sedately at 7 knots with only 500 r.p.m. showing on the amazing Kelvin T6 diesel engine and effortlessly at 9 knots and has a maximum speed somewhere in the region of 12 knots.

She is now fitted with a larger aft cabin below the spacious aft deck and would make a splendid Trawler Yacht for a live aboard couple with tremendous potential in the interior.

Companionway down to spacious aft cabin with large port-lights for visibility, double berth to starboard converting to large dining table, chart table and comfortable seating to port.

Moffat propane full size oven with 4 burners.

Racal Radar. Raython V800 depth. Compass.


Electrical System:

24 volt dual battery bank. 12 volt converter for instruments. Shore power and inverter for 230 volt AC.

Built to the "White Fish Authority Standard Specifications for the Construction of Scottish Wooden Fishing Vessels" in 1970 from Iroko on Oak frames.
