A classic Silver's/Bain design Ormidale motor sailer built from mahogany on oak in 1958 at the Silvers yard in Rosneath. Known as the "Ormidale 38 1/2 ft T.S.D.Y" (that's Twin Screw Displacement Yacht), she is a very substantial and much sought after boat. The two Thornycroft 2.5 litre engines give powerful yet economical performance and excellent manoeuvrability. Fuel consumption reported to be less than 3 gallons per hour at a cruising speed of 7.5 knots.
Originally built as a motor sailer, the mast and rigging is now missing but could be replaced by the new owner if required. She also comes complete with the original clinker built dinghy.
Ill health forces sale.
