I came to sailing as an adult but have now been afloat and entangled in the ownership of water based money pits for many happy years.
Workwise, my background is IT, network systems and e-mail infrastructure, a fact I would ordinarily keep well under my hat, but this is a blog and all must out. Eleven years ago I left all that behind to pursue my lifelong passion of photography, combined with a love of coding for the web. This led initially to the production of virtual tours for hotels and guest houses and custom written content management systems, then onward to Western Horizon Yachts; a company born out of my love of boats and a desire to see them well presented on the internet.
This site is now entrusted to others but I will still be casting an stern eye over their work from time to time. (You have been warned!)
Non workwise, I play fiddle and dream of the day I'll have more time to paint and walk in the hills.
My blog entries will be few and far between, and probably on subjects related to the ownership of a boat, .... or anything else. See you soon!
