Visitor's Mooring at Carrick Castleby Rob White

Item posted: Friday 31st October , 2008

The Carrick Castle Boat Club has raised over £1,000.00 with the help of the Carrick Castle Amenities Association to lay this visitor's mooring one cable north of the castle in position 56 deg 06.688' N 004 deg 54.378' W. The blue buoy with a pick up buoy will accommodate any yacht or motor boat up to a maximum of 15 tonnes and will be serviced annually.

Those wishing to use the visitor's mooring are asked to pay a £10.00 mooring fee per day/night that will go towards the annual servicing of the mooring.

Instructions on how to pay are shown on the visitor's mooring buoy and on the Village Notice Board by the Royal Mail Post Box behind the castle.

Visitors can pay by using PayPal on the club's web site using the quick and easy to remember URL www.pay-mooring.co.uk that diverts to the club's web site and a link to pay for the mooring.

The club now offers a free Wireless Broadband connection obtainable at the mooring for those who use computers on board their boats. The Network Name (SSID) is “CCBC - Western Horizon”.
