Kilmelford Yacht Haven is situated at the centre of Europe’s finest cruising grounds, on the rugged West Coast of Scotland close to the Hebridean Islands. You can find us on Loch-na-Cille, at the sheltered head of Loch Melfort; see Admiralty Chart 2326 at 56°15.4’N, 5°29.4’W. By road we are half an hour south of Oban and by road or rail, just two to three hours north-west of Glasgow.
Established over 20 years ago, Kilmelford Yacht Haven is a family run business with sheltered moorings and unrivalled marine repair facilities to include aluminium repairs, electrics and electronics, engineering, GRP/FRP repairs, machining, osmosis treatment, painting, rigging, sail repairs, steel repairs, stainless steel fabrications, varnishing, welding and woodwork. We can handle yachts up to 12 tonnes and 4.25m beam.
On the water we have 55 heavy-duty swinging moorings up to 60 tonnes capacity and 6 alongside berths for short stay and loading/unloading. Diesel and water are available at the pontoons, as well as yard dinghies to help you get out to your boat.
Ashore there is a secure dinghy and outboard compound near the slipway and in the main shed are the shower block, telephone, office, workshop and stores.
Just 15 minutes walk away is Kilmelford Village with the Cuilfail Hotel and also a well-stocked Post Office/shop/tea room. Across the Loch at Melfort Village is the excellent Shower of Herring restaurant, run by Steve and Alison Hyatt, who offer a complimentary taxi service to diners.
If you've viewed one of our boats in Scotland the chances are you have met Rob, our voice of experience and enthusiasm.
