The current owner has been unable to use her due to pressure of work but when he bought her she had just been fully refitted and was ready to go. Her excellent Mercedes Diesel engine was replaced by a reconditioned one by the previous owner and has done only very few hours since and is in excellent order.
One of the lazyjacks has come undone and the bow thruster joystick has been broken and she is in need of hauling out and cleaning off etc. Apart from that she is still in pretty good order! The price reflects the work required, even so it is well worth making an offer as she must be sold!
The Long Keel, Deck Saloon, Trident Voyager, designed by Angus Primrose and built by Trident Marine is a solidly built cruising yacht with many of the advantages of a motor sailer but with excellent sailing qualities.
This early example, built in 1978, has been extensively restored over three years including a new Mercedes Diesel engine, new instruments, new sails, new rigging, new fuel tank, etc. etc.
The only significant restoration left to do is cosmetic work to the hull and superstructure.
Set up for single handing with roller reefing genoa and single line two point slab reefing main and a cruising speed of up to 8 knots, she would make an ideal long distance cruiser for a couple.
The wheelhouse helm has been replaced by the autohelm remote control to give a much improved nav station space but could easilly be restored if required by a new owner.
