Van de Stadt Legend 34 - Details

Van de Stadt designed Legend 34 built by Tyler Moldings. This is a particularly good example with extensive upgrades over the years including a new Beta engine.
With the current owner since 1986 she has been extensively cruised on the East Coast of England, South Coast, Brittany several times, via the west coast of Ireland to Scotland (1997-1999) - all over the the west coast and western isles, Orkney (2003) and back to Suffolk - Holland (several times), back up the North Sea again to Scotland and through the Caledonian Canal in 2006. She has been in Scotland ever since.

Accommodation:

Forward twin V berth with infil to create double bunk. Forward deck hatch. Heads compartment with sea toilet and wet locker. Saloon with fold down table. Settees to port and starboard can also be used as single berths.

Two burner cooker with grill and oven, useful work surface, stainless steel sink, storage lockers, refrigerator.


Sails:

Slab reefing Dacron mainsail -new 2006
Bi-radial Furling genoa in Dacron ( refurbished in 2008 )
Storm jib in Dacron
Spinnaker in Nylon
Replacement mast fitted in 1993. Spinnaker boom, whisker pole.
All standing rigging renewed in 2005 except fore-stay which was replaced in 2006.
Furlex fore-stay roller was new in 1997 and had the top end bearings renewed in 2009.
