Silver's Silverette Mk 1 - Details

Designed by John Bain and built in 1936, this is a very fine and rare example of the extended length 36' Silverette Mk1.

Fitted with twin, 4 cylinder Fordson Major 52HP diesel engines, both of which have been recently rebuilt.

She unusually has a double berth, handbasin and ample storage for clothes and personal items in the spacious rear cabin.
A further two berths are available in the main cabin.

The forward heads compartment is very comfortable with electric head, shower and handbasin along with good storage space.

With her fully functional ketch rig she is a true classic motor sailer.

Through the wheelhouse is the cosy salon with a dropleaf table and single berths/seating to either side.

Forward again is the roomy galley following by the heads & shower in the forepeak


Galley:

Spacious galley with Tailors paraffin stove with twin burners and oven.


Sails:

Headsail, main and mizzen.


Instruments:

Raython Radar, Raython GPS, Raymarine ST7000 autopilot, NASA Target Navtex, Raython Tridata speed/log/depth, compass


Electrical System:

240 volt AC shore power. 12 volt DC, 3*110 Ah main with separate windlass and electric heads batteries.


Equipment:

Feruno VHF(not DSC), Liferaft, CQR anchor with 50 meters chain, fishermans anchor, kedge anchor with chain and cable.
Inflatable dinghy.


Additional Info:

Part 1 British registered, built by James A Silver in Rosneath in 1936.

Pressurised domestic water system and hot water calorifier heated by the engines or shore power.

A set of alloy legs are available to allow drying out.
